Christine Johnson: Hi, I am Christine Johnson, executive director of SC Equality. A South Carolina native, I served two terms as a member of the Utah House of Representatives and retired in July of 2010 to lead South Carolina’s LGBT political advocacy organization. Upon moving back to South Carolina, I settled in Columbia, the Capitol seat. Although I have met so many wonderful friends and work with amazing folks within the LGBT advocacy community, I have found I need a project. So I do what so many people do when they need a hobby, I created a project and bought a houseboat. Not just any houseboat, but a houseboat on which to live and work. For $2,250.00, I purchased Mynrva. She is a handmade 12' x 36' pontoon-hull houseboat in need of much work and attention. I am so excited about this adventure. My daughter is grown and in college and now begins the self-indulgent portion of my life, where my life-experiences are limited only by my imagination. I hope to take you on this little journey with me, as the little houseboat that could, now know as Mynrva and I embark on getting to know one another. All Aboard!
